Unconscious Movement

This linocut print captures the mythology of a sunny winter day where by some miracle you are free to read for as long as you wish. No guilt. No abandonned responsibilities. Everything is taken care of and now it's your turn to immerse yourself fully in someone else's world. The hours pass by unnoticed, except for your body's unconscious adjustments to prevent a crick in your neck or any of your limbs falling asleep.

Unconscious Movement is a linocut reduction in which the matrix (linoleum) ceases to be by the end of printing. It exists in a limited edition of 52. The image area measures 8x8" (20x20cm) and is centered slightly high on a 8.5x11" (22x28cm) sheet of speckled, warm white paper. It is made with rubber based Vanson ink, which is lightfast and will not fade over time.
