“Happily For Now” is the lesser-known criterion for a novel to be considered a Romance; either this or a Happily Ever After is essential to the genre. It also suits the artist and her partner, Kenton. As they embark on their life together, they want to make room for their nuanced and evolving selves to make choices in the future. Brianna’s 3 selves (present in every artwork in this series) are called Head of Feelings, Brave Front, and Spymaster. Kenton’s 3 selves (identified for this artwork specifically) are Diplomat, Drifter, and Farmer. This artwork evokes the giddiness of the end of movies like Matilda (1996) and 13 Going on 30 (2004). The two protagonists go off to build a life together, and there is real hope that they will be happy.
I will create a wood panel and mount this print on request, for $1400. Send me an email.

The Selves: What are they up to?
The Selves: What are they up to?
Head of Feelings is climbing the bookshelf ladder to reach some higher shelves. She's making eye contact with Farmer, who is carrying a sapling to plant in the backyard. Thursday the dog is trying to compel her to throw a ball, and Hugo (the other dog) is following Farmer.
Brave Front is dancing with Drifter. They're both outside of their comfort zones and doing their best for themselves and each other.
Spymaster is looking reproachfully at Diplomat, who has said something ridiculous. They have successfully negotiated the paint colour, and Diplomat is rolling while Spymaster does the edges.

Framing Suggestions
This is a large, somewhat ungainly print. I highly suggest custom framing. As always, keep things simple with a mat that matches the paper's white and a natural wood moulding.
